Saurabh Gupta and Siddharth Singh have written the edgy dialogues of Animal. The writing is sharp, gritty and packed with emotional sucker punches. Their writing makes sure the characters seem real even when the film gets larger than life. There’s so much emotional meaning behind each word that when the action kicks in, it hits harder, and when the drama starts to play out, it feels more potent.

Cinematography

When you have a story that intense, you need visual intensity to match. In step Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran and Ravichandran themselves, the cinematographer duo who have wielded the camera for Animal.

Music

A totally to the point background score and seamlessly interwoven songs that elevate the tension further. It never feels like a forced pause in the narrative, but more like a direct extension of the story’s emotional beats.

Production

One could have expected Animal to be a grand spectacle as when there is a Bhushan Kumar and Murad Letani (the two producers of the film under the banner of Bhadrakali Pictures, Cine1 Studios, and T-Series Films) calling the shots, there was everything to back it well enough.

The money’s there onscreen, the care’s obviously been lavished on literally every aspect of the film, from its ornate sets to it’s blockbuster set-pieces and high production values: everything is on point. The producers provided Sandeep Reddy Vanga the canvas to tell this intense tale, and the rest is history.

Distribution

For the film to being watched as not only in India, but across the globe, it was distributed globally by Gulshan Kumar & T-series films(network). The hype around the film was helped by a good advertising campaign and a long-anticipated trailer.

The trailer, which landed as recently as November 24, 2023, ran a welcome 3 minutes and 33 seconds — all the better to excite fans and build toward the film’s release.

Box Office Collection

Not only did Animal do well; it made history. The film joined the 500 crore club of Hindi film. It eventually became the 3rd Hindi film to enter the 1000 crore club worldwide. It was the third best grossing film in a single week.
