Bhola Shankar is a thrilling action movie, produced and directed in the Telugu language by Anil Sunkara and scheduled to be released on 11 th August 2023. Meher Ramesh made the visionary directorial debut of Meher Ramesh alive and Anil Sunkara provided his vision in production.

Bhola Shankar is a treat to filmgoers because it is the first movie Chiranjeevi appeared in after almost four years – his previous notable role was in the film “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy”, released in 2019. Interestingly, it is not only Chiranjeevi that takes the center stage in Bhola Shankar, viewers gets to see Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh who are sacred names in their business.

original story Bholaa Shankar is not, as it is mere Telugu remake of 2015 Tamil film Vedalam, which had Ajith Kumar in the title role.

It is an interesting story of Shankar, who comes to a big city to start as a Taxi Driver but ends up fighting some formidable forces in the town – and as luck would have it, an encounter with a personage of his earlier life now toughened, comes along with some surprising turns that takes this story on a completely new track.

Story

The storyline is tightly cross-stitched, giving the viewers a chance to see the previous life of Shankar before his silent life as a taxi driver. Shankar had a long association with street gangs before becoming a taxi driver.

There was one incidence where he assumed the responsibility of ensuring that his sister was not hurt. In his path he had Tamannaah Bhatia as the co-star of Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh as her adored sister Keerthy Suresh.

The cast ensemble has Raghu Babu, Rao Ramesh, Pankaj Tripathi and Murli Sharma among other well-known talents.
The movie is made under the banner of AK Entertainments and it reflects the help co-operative nature of the industry professionals. Mahati Swara Sagar gave background scores and melodies.

Arthur A Wilson delivered a fascinating cinematography; whereas Marthand K Venkatesh performed a vital role in knitting the story as an editor.

The shooting of Bholaa Shankar began on 11 November 2021 in the urban core of Hyderabad. Though the larger part of the film reels have been shot with this lense, the crew had also visited the beautiful locales of Kerala to shoot a very crucial song sequence – not all musical numbers have been committed to film shooting.
