He keeps it very down to Earth in the streets of Delhi, lets his actors do the work and the absurdity just happens. Be it mocking the Indian politics or the spirit of street-smart Delhiites, Lamba’s narration remains light-hearted though pertinent.

Writing

The script remains faithful to the franchise – full of fast dialogues, sudden humor and ingeniously written comic situations.

It could be the special pre-cognitive dreams of Chucha, the countless plans of Honey, or the quick retorts of Bholi, but the screenwriting team behind the film gives us more than a few laugh out loud moments as they sneak in some witty jabs at real-life political melodrama.

The writing is quite balanced between the slapstick comedy and witty satire, so that the movie could appeal both to the younger viewers and adults.

Music

The Fukrey vibe has always been incomplete without music – fun, foot-tapping, and lively. Fukrey 3 soundtrack is following the tradition.

Although there are no colossal chart-busters such as “Ambarsariya” in the original movie, the songs in Fukrey 3 keep pace with the story and serve as entertaining pauses between the hectic story developments. Even the background score is perfect and complements the comedy, mostly in the surreal moments of Chucha.

Cinematography

Cinematography gets the pulse of Delhi once more —the labyrinthine lanes, the teeming bazaars, the campaign meetings with their colorful characters. The city is almost a character in this movie and the camerawork makes sure that the viewer is part of the mayhem.

Be it campaign vans with loud speakers loudly pronouncing the slogans, fight in the streets about the most ridiculous reasons or the mad speeches in the streets, the visuals complement the quirky style of telling the story in the film.

Editing

Fukrey 3 is slightly above two hours, and it maintains the fast-paced energy. The editing is on the fast side, ensuring that the gags do not overdine their welcome and the plot keeps chugging along without unneeded digressions.

The film understands when to allow a gag to accomplish its purpose and when to proceed on – an art largely lost on present day comedies.
