Story
Hidimba is an exciting film that focuses on the shocking incidents. The trailer of the movie is very attractive.
Director’s Vision: An Anil Kanneganti Touch
One must give a round of applause to Aneel Kanneganti who steered the project boat of Hidimbha into never before explored realms. Rather than go down the safe avenue of action-packed thrillers or straight mythological dramas, Aneel decided to merge both worlds. His direction also tightens up the film just the right amount so that the story never really lags, and while there’s plenty of room for the characters and the story to breathe, it doesn’t drag.
Kanneganti’s capability to draw an air of eerie mystery and at the same time keep the audience rooted in real-time realism is really one of the film’s strong points. Be it the nail biting chase sequences, thrilling crime scenes, or the heated confrontations; his film keeps your eyes stuck to the screen.
The Heavyweights Of Production
The film was backed by Gangapatnam Sreedhar under SVK Cinemas, with Anil Sunkara’s AK Entertainments. Both of these banners are known for supporting new, daring, outside-the-box ideas.
That production value is never more clear than in slick action choreography, fine sets and high-end special effects that depict those elements that are somehow connected to the mythological past. In short, Hidimbha doesn’t feel less for not cutting corners.
Cinematography: B Rajasekar’s stunning visuals
The most impressive thing about Hidimbha is clearly its visuals, and in that, cinematographer B Rajasekar deserves full credit. His lens takes in the grandeur as well as the grit of the world the movie invents.
Action sequences are shot and framed tightly, enveloping viewers in the fight. Noirish night scenes ooze with a moody, suspense-like atmosphere that almost makes the city a character.
The scenes of myth portions are surreal and beautiful, and have a haunting (but beautiful) poetic feel to them. Rajasekar’s art contributes to the fact that even the most mundane of events in this book feel grand without crushing in on the narrative around them.
Editing
An action-mystery film like Hidimbha hangs by the edit and M R Varma makes sure film is alive and kicking. The scene transitions are sharp, the suspense is layered in just right, and even during the more expository scenes in the film, the viewers never feel weighed down.
Music
The music in a movie like Hidimbha makes a quiet but an incredibly strong point. Music by Vikas Badisa The music of the film has done marvelously well in elevating the mood. It is Badisa’s music that doesn’t allow you breathe easy whether its lingering score in the suspense moments or the aggressive beats during the fights, they carries the heartbeat down the same road as the film’s tension.
Hidimbha Movie Review
We can feel Ashwin’s confidence in his new role. Nandita Swetha is also in the lead role. It adds charm and skills to the narrative. Vikas Badisa has great expertise in composing background scores and soundtracks. It will surely improve the entire cinematic experience.
Rajasekar’s impressive cinematography is surely able to convey the mood of the story. After the announcement of its release in theaters, the excitement for this movie is continuing to build. The recently released trailer has provided a glimpse into the thrilling journey.
