“Iratta” is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film released all over the world on 3 February 2023. It was directed and written by Rohit M. G. Krishnan, and produced by Martin Prakkat, Joju George, and Sijo Vadakkan under the production house Appu Pathu Pappu.
The film features Joju George, Anjali, Srinda in the lead roles and its trailer has created quite a buzz online. And you can stream the movie on Netflix. The actor who won a national award Joju George was excellent in both the parts.
There were a few muddled bits but Joju gave a clean delineation of the characters. It there from revolves around these two characters, but Anjali’s role as Malini was particularly interesting, and she played a great part. All others met the demands of their roles well.

Story
A gunshot is heard during a function, and everyone runs towards the Kerala police station where the incident occurred. ASITerry vinod ( Joju George) is shot dead and the killer is still unknown. Hence it is the police station that is now being cordoned and no one is being allowed to come out.
DSP Pramod (Joju George in double role) on hearing about the brother’s death decides to look into the matter. Who killed Vinod? What was the tiff between Pramod and Vinod for? What’s Malini (Anjali) part in this story? To see this movie, you have to watch it on OTT.
Review
The film got good reviews and the audience liked it. In current times, the fans of Bollywood movies are also fans of South Indian movies. Harsh Vardhan saw this trend coming and even attempted to make a few movies like the ones from the south and was largely successful.
The film opens lethargically and may not appeal to those who do not relate to Vinod or his character. The section in which the stories of other characters unfold may also seem excessive. But the flashback scenes with Malini and Vinod are fun.
The narrative comes into its own when the investigation is taken over by Pramod and travels the same speed through to the finish. And you’ve seen a lot of crime thrillers but the end to this movie will surprise you.
