Story
The Marathi motion picture is based on the life of historical character Samartha Ramdas Swami. He was a high-souled saint and he set up a sect Shree Samartha. The main object of this group was to assist India in gaining independence and fostering sincere spiritual ideas.
The founder of these spiritual centers were Samartha Ramdas Swami, who believed in the coming together of similar individuals striving to achieve the same spiritual objective. These Mathas served as shelters where people could stay and practice their religion.
The film is written by Abhiram Bhadkamkar in reference with the life and work of Samartha Ramdas Swami and his role in Indian history. The movie shows how Samartha Ramdas Swami inspired Chattrapati Shivaji to seal the win against Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and how he resisted Aurangzeb’s divide and rule policy.
By and large, the Marathi movie shows the life of a man who was instrumental in shaping India and also in building this nation’s spiritual and cultural legacy. The film is a tribute to the life, works and teachings of Samartha Ramdas Swami and his crusade to unite humanity.
