Review

The Tamil version, Samantha Ruth Prabhu (a celebrated actress in the South) played the role of Shakuntala in the lead role of the film. It is the tale of King Dushyanta and Shakuntala, which is a part of Mahabarata, detailed by the sage Vaishampayana to the King Janamejaya.

Dushyanta was played by Dev Mohan, who made his Telugu debut in this film. Besides the lead actors, two kids — son and daughter of Allu Arjun too played prominent roles in the flick.

He was Allu Arjun’s son, who i play prince bharata, the son to King Dushyanta and Shakuntala. As a story of love, loss and the ties that bind family and kingdom, the movie is hard to beat.

It’s a great movie with an All-Star ensemble cast and some amazing performances, a must see for all cinephiles.

Where to Watch?

Shaakuntalam: Shaakuntalam is an Indian-language film that is set to be released on April 14, 2023. But the movie will be available on various OTT (Over-the-Top) platforms later, although we do not know exactly when the film will be available there.

We have discovered that some movies are simply never fully released or land on OTT platforms very late. One such trendy service is Amazon Prime Video and it allows you to watch numerous movies and TV shows worldwide.

And you can also download a movie from this app to watch without an internet connection. This feature is particularly useful for users on the go, or with limited internet connectivity.

But until the day the film has to reach OTT platforms, the best way to watch it is going to the theatres and enjoying the big screen experience. Watching in a cinema hall with surrounding sound and good picture quality is unparallel and it contributes to the cinematic experience.

Well then, watch ‘Shaakuntalam’ in theaters near you on April 14th, 2023, for a visual extravaganza on the big screen.
